Mom and Dad got dressed up and went out on a date the other night. Yes, they left me at home.

I know you're wondering why I wasn't in that last picture - this is why! 

We went over to my friend Alison's house for a playgroup birthday party on February 11th. She has the coolest toys!

We all sat down to eat birthday cupcakes.

It was a little chaotic at times!

I drank real (cow's) milk for the first time.

But the very best part was that I got my own cupcake!

Mom was trying to stay clean so she stopped trying to feed me after a while and just gave in to the inevitable mess.

Mmm, buttercream icing is so delicious!

What a great birthday party! 

If you ask me where my eye is (well, mom asks donde esta mi ojo), this is what I do. Aren't I a clever little thing? [OK, fine, I do this same thing if you ask where my nose or mouth are too, but it's a start!] 

My playgroup friends and I went to lunch the other day at Macaroni Grill, and the nice waiter gave me some raw pizza dough to play with. I was trying to make my own pizza crust, see? 

When I got my pictures taken at Sears last week they had this great toy for me to play with while we waited.  

When I'm playing in the bath, I sometimes like to drink the bathwater. Is that gross? 

I ate watermelon for the first time the other day, yummy! 

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME, I'M ONE YEAR OLD NOW, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!

Mom and I went to get my ONE YEAR picutres taken today. That's me, next to the big "1"!

Hmm, what shall I do to celebrate being a whole year old??? 

My first birthday party!

Even though my real birthday isn't for a few more days, this weekend we had a party for me with some of my friends and family. We had a great day - here are some pictures of what we did.

The day started off with an early morning gift from my nana. I really liked the card she gave me...

And then I opened the gift -

It was a baby! Just like me!

I like her a lot and carried her around with me all day.

Later, when Grandma and Granddaddy and Aunt Meliss and Aunt Liz and Nana were all over, we opened some other presents.

Grandma and Granddaddy Ward gave me my very own laptop.

Still though, I really like cards.

I got to spend time with my Aunt Meliss.

And Grandaddy let me crawl on him and investigate in his pocket.

My Grandpa Lord and Eleanor gave me an adorable sailor outfit with a hat. OK, the hat's a little small, but cute anyway!

And the best part was the box it came in. Where's Resli?

Then it was time for the cake!

I wore a party hat... For about 10 seconds.

My first taste of cake -ever- went up my nose,

but then I got the hang of it.

YUMMY!

Mom had to lick all the icing off my fingers! 

I woke up the other morning with the craziest bedhead! No amount of baby food would glue it back down. 

My nana is here visiting me this week. She took me on hungry hippo rides all around the house. Weeeeeee!!!!
