Today we went to the installation ceremony at daddy's lodge. I got dressed up for it... and then crawled around on the floor. Posted by Picasa

I don't really know what this bowl and this spoon are for, but they seem to show up whenever I'm eating.

I LOVE turkey! Most of the time I don't have this much trouble getting it into my mouth, but I was all distracted by the spoon.

Come on, spoon, help me out here! Posted by Picasa
This week mom and dad took me out to eat at a restauant. I really like cheerios.

Although sometimes don't you just think it's too much effort to pick the food up? Posted by Picasa
Another thing I did this week was go play outside. I've been trying to hint to Mom and Dad that I wanted to go outside for days...

I climbed a tree...

OK, so Dad helped me a little.

We all sat down on the lawn and played. Mostly, I ate leaves.

And more leaves.

And MORE yummy leaves!

And I got my feet dirty. Outdoors is fun! Posted by Picasa

Washington, D.C. (December 26th-30th)

After Christmas my mom had to go to a conference in Washington, DC, so Dad and I went along too. We had lots of fun together.

We stayed in a great hotel room that had mirrors everywhere. And marble floors, which you can see gave me some bruises on my forehead since I try to stand up everywhere...

At night mom and dad covered my little portacrib with a sheet so I could sleep and they could read or watch tv. Looks kind of cruel, but really, I didn't mind.

It was COLD in DC! Dad had to bundle me up everywhere we went.

He took me on the metro. The escalators were an adventure, but I fell asleep anyway.

We went to the National Zoo and I saw the new panda bear everyone's talking about, but I really liked the giraffe best.

We went to a bunch of musuems too.

But honestly, once you've seen one national monument, you've really seen them all, haven't you? >>yawn<< Posted by Picasa
At nana's house I took my baths in her nice big kitchen sink. Mom gave me a mohawk hairdo too. Posted by Picasa

My first Christmas - 2005

On Christmas morning I came downstairs and Santa Claus had come to visit!

I don't know much about this whole presents thing, but I do know I got a tasty pair of sneakers!

and I even wore them a little bit too!

I also opened a big box from Meliss and Mathias, and found...

a super cool activity table ALL IN SPANISH!

Then I got really tired and took a nap in Nana's bed. Mom built a whole wall of pillows around me so I wouldn't fall out.

After my nap I was ready to play some more. This little table was about the coolest thing I've ever seen.

To celebrate Christmas, I practiced standing up. Here I am going from sitting to standing,

...getting there, ....

ta daaa! OK, so I fell over this time. But I can stand up by myself for almost 10 seconds at a time! Posted by Picasa

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve we hung out around Nana's house. She had a tree and lots of stuffed Santa Claus's that I loved to look at.

I also had fun pretending to drink out of Aunt Melissa's cup,

and just playing around in general.

Later that evening I got dressed up in my Santa outfit and played with the dog Ollie. We were friends last time I saw her,

but she kind of scares me now!

We set the dining table, and then

I ate dinner with everyone.

Later, Daddy read me a book about Christmas.

And then I hung up my stocking and went to bed. What a day! Posted by Picasa
