A new chair?

Mama's back has been bothering her lately, so she's been using a big exercise ball as a desk chair. I have balls I can sit on too, see? Posted by Picasa

Reading time

After dinner Daddy and I like to read on the couch. We each read our own book, but we cuddle together. Posted by Picasa

Playing on the floor

Mama and I were rolling around playing on the floor the other day. We had so much fun! Posted by Picasa

An Inconvenient Truth

I'm too young to see the movie, but not too young to want to have a healthy planet to grow up on. My parents saw the movie and were very impressed... They urge all my blogfans to pledge to see it too.

A nice, quiet weekend morning

My Aunt Melissa gave me this toy for my birthday, way back in February. I've recently rediscovered it... See how I love playing with it?

Mama and Daddy want to thank you, Meliss, for the hours of peace and quiet! :)

Saturday is laundry day

So we strip the sheets off all the beds, even Beba's cradle. I help with that part...

And then we remake the beds with clean sheets. Or, you know, in Beba's case, with the same blankets and stuff.

Just right for me to take a little nap.

I'm just kidding! I know I'm too big for that little tiny cradle! Posted by Picasa

Fun with balloons

Last weekend was Mama's birthday, and Daddy and I got her balloons to play with. (OK, I'm the one who really likes playing with them.) So here I am playing with the balloon and having a great time.
Note: The cameraman apologizes for the sideways effect. It's not a lame failed attempt to be artsy but rather an attempt to go portrait rather than landscape, forgetting of course that in video you can't do that. Sorry...

My newest trick

I can stand on my head! What fun! Posted by Picasa

Oh my aching head...

This in itself is not a great picture. But it gives you a really good view of my various injuries - the scrape on my nose, the scrape/bruise on my forehead (both from the previously blogged-about wagon incident), and the new bruise on the other side of my forehead, where I ran head first into a concrete pillar. Why, you ask? Not sure, I just do these things. But lucky for me I'm a very quick healer.  Posted by Picasa

Other people's stuff

These days it seems like I'm interested in anything that's not mine. Like Daddy's baseball cap.

Even if it is a little big.

And Mama's sunglasses are just way too cool.  Posted by Picasa

Me and Mama, being silly

Mama and I were being silly in the car this afternoon taking our self portraits. When she smiled, I didn't.

When I smiled she got crazy (and the A/C made her hair crazy too!).

And then when we brought Beba in the picture everything just went out of control! Posted by Picasa

Resli v. Pavement: The rematch

Even though I'm getting older and stronger and bigger, it turns out that cement is still tougher than I am.

One of these days I'll show that pavement who's boss! Ah, but not today. . .  Posted by Picasa

Bathtime fun and games

This is one of my favorite bathtime games. The duck squirts water and yes, it's gross, but I drink it!

Sometimes Daddy misses my mouth though.

You've gotta watch out for him, he'll pour water in your face when you're least expecting it! Posted by Picasa

Can YOU pinch an inch?

So I was looking for my belly button while I was in the bath tub. (It's hard to find sometimes!)...

And oh dear! I most certainly CAN pinch an inch! Should I start eating Special K?  Posted by Picasa

Books, books, books...

In case you're wondering, I still love reading. I read stuff right off the bookshelf,

or walking down the hall,

or even sitting wherever I find one of mama's books.

Oh my gosh, you'll never guess what happens in Chapter 47! Posted by Picasa

Big news

What do you think, Daddy, should we tell them?

OK, here goes - I'm 16 months old!

Isn't that exciting? Posted by Picasa

Buddha belly

How can a sixteen month old have such a big belly? My parents call it my Buddha belly, but every now and then when it's hanging over my jeans like it is here, it does seem to look more like a big beer gut, doesn't it? Either way, I'm very proud of it!

... and of course, of its best feature, my belly button. See it??

Resli and Nana and Ollie

Like I said before, my Nana was here visiting me for a few days.
We had soooo much fun together. Nana read me books and played with me and sat on the floor and hung out with me.

You know what else is cool? She brought her dog Ollie again. We're closer to the same size now, and I love dogs these days (I pant whenever I see one), so we had a great time.

The morning after they left I went into the bedroom where they were sleeping and walked around panting... I missed Nana of course, but it was Ollie I was looking for!

Who's the baby?

My nana is here visiting me. She brought me a wonderful present, this baby cradle for Beba. It's actually a cradle that my nana and my great grandmother got for my mama's dolls when she was little. Beba likes having her own place to sleep.

Although I think we should share it, don't you? Posted by Picasa

Hangin' out

For their anniversary, Mama gave Daddy a hammock. (The second anniversary gifts are supposed to be cotton. A hammock, get it?) Daddy and I have fun relaxing together in it.

All three of us even got in it the other day. Looks like fun, doesn't it?  Posted by Picasa

But shortly after this picture was taken, however, we came crashing to the ground. Mama and Daddy hadn't had a problem when they were in it, but once I got in I put us over the weight limit, I guess!
