An afternoon at the park

Mami and I went to the park yesterday afternoon. It was a beautiful fall day - as you can see by the pinecones I absolutely had to carry around everywhere.

And, for the record, it was ME who insisted on wearing my hat! Was it because it was sunny? Or because there was a slight chill in the air? We'll never know!

The Gators beat Georgia yesterday - GO GATORS! (This is my cheezy smile that I make if you ask me to smile.)

The Resli Project

I made a new friend over the weekend. Her name is Diana and she's interested in how people learn two languages, so she came to meet me and talk to me.

I explained how to draw cats and stars, because those are my favorite things. I hope she can learn a lot from me, because I enjoyed playing with her!

M-I-C-K-E-Y... M-O-U-S-E

When I go play at Grandma and Granddaddy's house I get to be a member of the Mickey Mouse Club. (This hat belonged to my Aunt Lizzie back when she was a mouseketeer.)

2nd annual organized chaos session

Remember last year when my playgroup friends and I got our group picture taken at Sears? (You can see that picture here.) Well, our parents, in a moment of total insanity, decided it would be a good idea to try it again this year. . .
Except none of us wanted to sit there by ourselves, so our moms had to hold us!

(You can tell that some moms may have predicted this could happen and look nice, where as others, like mine, were not prepared to have their portraits taken!)
But even though this picture isn't the greatest, it was wonderful to see all my old friends again. Can you believe how much we've changed in one year???

Dora's on TV?!?

When I was at the Sears Photo Studio today I discovered that my favorite friend ever, Dora, is on the TV! Mami and Daddy seemed disappointed that I know this now, although I'm very excited. I wonder why they kept it a secret from me for so long?

A family self-portrait

We're getting better at taking self-portraits, don't you think? (It's because Daddy has longer arms than Mami, so he does a better job than she does!)

Yummy yummy!

These days I'm big into mixing. I take a bowl and spoon and stir up my fabulous concoctions wherever I go.

And as I'm mixing, I always say, "Yummy yummy!" Does this mean I'm destined to be a great chef, or is it just that Mami and Daddy don't feed me enough?!?

Music classes

I go to Musikgarten music classes every Monday. We do lots of fun things there. Like in this picture, we're pretending to ride on a horse, galloping up and down. (And those are my friends Nathan and Gabriel, with their mothers Kristen and Mariann, in the background.)

We also get to play with scarves, swinging them up and down to the music.

This is, without a doubt, my favorite part! (At home, I take dishtowels and try to sing the same song and throw them up in the air too.)

We also play with drums. They make a lot of noise, and I like that!

And then, sometimes, we just dance. And, faithful blogger fans, you know I love to dance! (I'm teaching the class how to do The Resli.)

"Sunday school"

On Sundays when Mami and Daddy go to church, I get to go to, um, "Sunday school". Basically, I get to play! They have great toys and TONS of balls to play with.

And there's this great playground where you can climb around. Here I am trying to climb over the edge...

Getting there...

OOPS! (Don't worry, I didn't hurt myself!)

And check this out - Nana helped me go down a slide all by myself!

What fun!

Another visit from Nana!

My Nana was here visiting this past weekend. She let me share her oatmeal. Yummy yummy!

Neither Nana nor I like being surprised by the camera. A little breakfast floor privacy, please! Posted by Picasa

By the way, apparently my Mami was so excited to see HER Mommy that she forgot to take more pictures of her. Sorry, Nana!

The big 2-0 (months)!

I'm 20 months old! (It was a few days ago but we've been so busy we haven't had a chance to get the pictures up until now.) It's amazing how time flies, isn't it? Posted by Picasa

"Ishtanistou"

Anyone know what language this is?!?

(I get "side" = outside, and I get "mama" = cama = bed, which is what she calls the hammock, but that's about it. Of course, without the phone in the background it might have been easier, but I doubt it!)

Sunday at the mall

We went to the mall today to play in their playground.

There are all kinds of fun things to climb on.

And sit on!

Then we got some lunch at Subway.

OOPS, my eyes are bigger than my mouth is!

Feeding myself supper

I insisted on feeding myself supper last night.

I did pretty well, too!

I very generously offered some to Daddy,

and to Mami. (They didn't want any.)

Occasionally, I missed my mouth,

but managed to get a good deal of the food in there somehow.

Unfortunately, I ended up with some in my hair as well.

What a mess!

My cat shirt

I wore this shirt with a kitty cat on it the other day. I was fascinated with the "gato" and kept pointing to it and meow-ing all day.

The 'artiste' at work

Look at all these crayons I have! So many colors, so many things to play with.

And when I'm not eating them (yes, if nobody's looking I'll chomp right down on them, leaving green, blue and red wax on my teeth for hours...), I enjoy drawing with them. Red is my favorite, for now at least.

I like giraffes.

This is a giraffe.

Giraffes are very tall.

Giraffes (and Daddy) make me laugh!

Happy October!

This is a new fall dress my cousin (?) Reeny gave me. Perfect for October!
