Hi-ho, hi-ho, it's off to work we go...

Check out my new work boots! Now I'm ready for just about anything!
(If I put on pants, that is...)

My new "chair"

This is my new favorite place to sit and read.
Daddy doesn't think it's a good idea, but I sure thought it was fun!

Me and my Uncle Adam

It was great to see my Uncle Adam again when he was here for Thanksgiving! He read me stories and played with me.

He sat at my Dora table and drew with me.

And I even gave him a big ole kiss!

Thanks for all the fun, Uncle Adam!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

This was my second Thanksgiving ever! Last year we went to Aunt Melissa and Uncle Mathias's house in Connecticut, but this year we stayed in Gainesville and had everyone come over to our house.
So I got dressed up, put Zoe in the stroller, grabbed Mami's purse and ran around the house like crazy until everyone got here.

There were so many people over! We had a great time and I got to make new friends and see old ones.

OK, so by the time I finished my turkey I was ready to get down and not having that great a time, but for the most part I had fun.

There were two highlights of my Thanksgiving. First, my friend Theresa brought me a Barney DVD. I'm not sure what the whole "DVD" thing is, but I sure love carrying the case around (and sleeping with it). Second, Uncle Brian's hat was about the neatest thing ever.

It's mesh, so I couldn't really figure out what part to put on my head...

Nonetheless, the best part of Thanksgiving is undoubtedly the leftovers the next day.

YUMMY!

Here I come, Music City USA!

Mami had to present a couple talks at the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages convention this past weekend, in Nashville, TN, so we all went along for the trip!
After a long day of cars, trams and airplanes, we finally arrived in our hotel Thursday afternoon. Boy was I glad to sit down and put my feet up!

I also thought it was very important to get our room service breakfast order taken care of right away... you don't want to leave these things for the last minute! I want yogurt and cheerios - what about you guys?

It was very cold in Nashville, so I had to wear my warmest clothes. And of course, since it is the home of country music, I had to wear my jeans with a guitar on them!
(Mami did the preppy sweater thing to me, but I immediately tore it off.)

We went to eat one night at SATCO (San Antonio Taco Company), which Mami says used to be one of her favorites when she was an undergrad at Vanderbilt. I quite like the tacos, myself.

On Saturday Daddy and I went to the Country Music Hall of Fame. (Ha ha, Mami had to work and Daddy and I got to do cool stuff!)
I was really interested in these instruments.
[No flash photography allowed in the museum, please pardon the blur!]

And I was fascinated with this wall of records. I was immediately drawn to Willie Nelson's, which made Daddy very proud.

By Sunday, I was ready to come home.
There were some empty seats on the plane so I got to sit in a seat all by myself with my own seatbelt and everything.

Mami and Zoe were right there next to me, of course.

Do you think if I flap my arms like a bird it would make the plane get to Florida faster??

A special table just for Resli

I got a table and chairs just for me - they're just my size and they have Dora on them! I've been having so much fun sitting at the table to read, and draw, and just shout "Dora! Dora!" over and over.

I'm such a lucky little girl! And Mami thinks I look soooo grown up in this picture...

Do other babies do this?

The other night Daddy was out at a meeting and Mami had to give me my bath alone. When I got out she tried to dry me off but I took off running around the house naked! I don't know who was laughing harder, me or Mami, we both thought it was hysterical.

An(other) apple a day...

Boy, I do love these apples! Look at how much I'm managing to carve out of this one with my teeth!

Hmm, I wonder what Mami's going to eat for breakfast now?

The big game...

Good morning Gator fans!
Today is a big game - it's Florida versus South Carolina, where our former coach, Steve Spurrier, now coaches. South Carolina is also where my friend Maleah is, so you know she and I will be rooting for our teams!

This adorable Gator outfit, by the way, was a gift from my friends Maddie and Jackie, whose mom used to be a Gator but lives in Atlanta now. They're too big for these clothes, so they sent them to me. And since they're twins and have two of everything, I can wear the same outfit two days in a row without Mami having to do laundry.

Thanks, Maddie and Jackie and Jodi! And GO GATORS!

I'M 21 MONTHS OLD!

Actually, if you look closely here, you'll see that it says I'm 21 months and 2 days old. Mami and Daddy are getting lazy with the month-by-month pictures!

But there it is, 21 months and 2 days. How time flies, huh?

OK. That's enough of that.

My first (real) apple

Sure, I've eaten apples before, but never in their true form.

This was so much fun to eat!

Juicy! And yet the slightest bit tart, as well...

Chef Resli

While Mami was making dinner the other night, I thought I'd help out and whip up something of my own. I got my whisk and my favorite pot and mixed away.

And discovered what fun it is to bite a whisk! (I know, it sounds horrible, but I loved it... Maybe because the wires were easy to latch on to?)

Then at dinner Mami let me put the pot on my head!
(Shh, don't tell Daddy, he doesn't like me to do crazy stuff like that at the table!)

Where's Resli? ......

Bathtime!

When I get ready for my bath and have all my clothes off, I think it's the funniest thing in the world to run around naked before getting in the bath! (Mami and Daddy always laugh hard too, so maybe they think it's funny as well?)
Sorry for the censor square, there are just too many weirdos out on the web...

I run (or prance) into the bathroom and sometimes I go to my potty.
Occasionally I try to climb in!

But usually I just back right up and sit on it!

La de da. Just sittin' here...

And then right after that I get in the bath tub and pee.

What? What's wrong with that?

Orange... Blue...!

All you good Gator fans out there know that the cheer in The Swamp consists of half of the stadium yelling "Orange!" and the other half responding with "Blue!" (OK, no, it's not the most intellectual cheer. But it's better than Penn State's overstatement of the obvious with their "We are..." "Penn State!") cheer!)
Anyway, I have of course learned this cheer as well. Enjoy, and help me root for the Gators to beat Vanderbilt!

Our election day (with 2 new updates)

Even though the real election day is still a few days away, you have a chance to vote now, blogger fans:

Who do I look like?
  • Daddy?
  • Mami?
  • A combination?
  • Someone else entirely?
We want to know your vote!

UPDATE:
My nana, in an effort to convince the blogger voters that I in fact look like Mami (although if you look in the comments section you'll see that she's by far in the minorty...), sent us these pictures. They're of Mami and tia Melissa when they were 18 months old. So, does this change anyone's vote??

UPDATE #2:
Here are some pictures of Daddy when he was about 18 months old.

Now, you should have enough evidence and information to make an informed election decision...
