Nothing like a good book

I'm so active these days, walking and running and climbing. But I still love reading more than just about anything.

I have my favorite books and my favorite pages in each book. Sometimes I have to tell Daddy what sounds the animals make, he doesn't always do it right! Posted by Picasa

I fought the pavement... and the pavement won.

Yes, I fell down in the driveway last night. I cried a lot, but then I forgot about it.

It actually looks worse this morning, but again, I seem a whole lot less bothered than Mama and Daddy are. They feel just horrible. (By the way, check out all my teeth - I have 15 now!) Posted by Picasa
Remember when I was pretty much bald? Look at all this hair! Posted by Picasa

Another Saturday morning

Saturday mornings are great. We all stay in our pajamas and hang out in the living room after breakfast. Good family time.

But you don't want to talk to me until after I've had my morning milk. No, really.

I like to show off my developing dancing skills. I wonder if I got my rhythm from Mama or Daddy. What do you think?

Now that I'm a little taller, I also like to walk around and look at all the photos we have on the shelves. I think I recognize these people...

And after spending the weekend with Nana and Aunt Melissa and Uncle Adam, I really do recognize them in pictures now. Here's a video of me finding Nana:

Who could ask for a better way to start the weekend?

Please, no more pictures.

The paparazzi just won't leave me alone! (This is such a Gillian face, no?) Posted by Picasa

Orange.... Blue....

Saturday afternoon was the Orange and Blue football game. We didn't go because it rained and thundered, but I got in the spirit of things with my gator shorts anyway.  Posted by Picasa

the SUDOKU craze

Everyone's doing it... I'm the sudoku champion for my age group (that would be the about 15 months age group). Posted by Picasa

Playful dinnertime fun with Daddy

Dad and I play this great game at dinner time. I look over at him,

And he pretends not to notice me. . .

Finally he looks up and we both laugh. It sounds simple but it's sooooo much fun! Posted by Picasa

OK, it's so fun that Mom took some video of it. Here's the play by play:
Daddy and Resli play their game... Then Resli -for some reason- decides to fetch the ham she'd eaten from halfway down her throat. Do other kids do this?!?

My weekend in Dillsboro, NC

Last Christmas Nana gave us a wonderful gift - a family trip for Easter weekend to this cute, tiny little town called Dillsboro, in the mountains of North Carolina. We stayed at a quaint B&B and got to spend some quality family time together. Here are a few pictures from the weekend.

We drove a long way to get there, and we stopped at Cracker Barrel for lunch. They had a rocking chair just my size.

In Dillsboro we did a lot of walking around. It was very hot and sunny, which made me sleepy.

We ate out at a lot of restaurants. Thank goodness Daddy was there to keep me happy.

I discovered also that I like pickles! Mmmm.

Oh, and how to pick my nose too. Very talented, huh?

On the day of the Easter parade I walked around in the grass, but it was very hilly...

and I had a hard time standing up straight!

I got to see the Easter bunny too (sort of), although I confess he scared me a little.

On Sunday we drove home. I got to watch DVDs, like any good child of the new millennium! It was a great weekend, thanks Nana! Posted by Picasa

A couple more videos

Neither of these videos is great, but they're fun anyway.
In this first one, I'm showing off my newest animal sound - the monkey.

And then in this one daddy gives me my first quiz - so many questions!

By the way, I DO know where my belly button ('ombligo') is - I'm pulling up my shirt for you to see, or for mom to tickle me there!

Happy (almost) Easter!

I got some Easter pictures taken today. I can't tell you where because technically this place wasn't supposed to have live animals, but I can tell you that it was quite interesting! I'd never seen live chicks or bunnies before!

The little black chick may never be the same after I tried to grab him... but at least for the pictures we all looked happy.

Dry clean only

I guess Daddy doesn't like giving me baths anymore - he tried to take me to the dry cleaner's with his shirts! Posted by Picasa

14 months and counting

At 14 months I learned a trade...

Yes, unfair as it seems, I was sent out into the world to earn my own living as a chef.

Beba Soup, anyone? Posted by Picasa

bananas!

These pictures are for my Grandpa Lord, who has always said

that bananas are nature's perfect food. I agree! Posted by Picasa

Spring has sprung!

We've had some beautiful weather lately. I love going outside in the yard to play.

I like just sitting in the grass, too. That's nice also.

Beba likes it too. Here I am hugging her because we're so happy to be outside! Posted by Picasa

Spring Arts Festival

Last weekend was the Spring Arts Festival in downtown Gainesville. We went and walked around, but the best part was the food. I had a hot dog with mom!

And I tried some ice cream, too.

Hey, now I LIKE that! Posted by Picasa

In and out

Lately I'm very interested in the whole concept of putting things inside something. Dad gave me this paper bag the other day and I had all kinds of fun with it. First Beba went in and out,

then a book... Pretty cool, huh? Posted by Picasa
