Last Sunday my friend Elle and her family had us all over for a fun lake day! They took everyone out on the boat (except mom and I had to leave because we were picking Daddy up at the airport - yea!) - isn't it a beautiful lake?

It was really hot outside, so my friends and I hung out and played on the floor...

until I just plain wore myself out. I fell asleep with my thumb in my mouth and my toy still in my hand, right there in the middle of all the commotion! 

I'm getting ready to start eating real food soon, just a few more weeks! 

Friday fun

Today mom and I had a busy day - we were trying to keep our minds off of daddy being gone! First, we went to the salon to get our hair cut. Mom was happy with hers, but they totally messed mine up. Ohmigosh, like, I look, like, totally bald!



After that we went to BABYTIME at the library. We listened to stories and sang songs and saw lots of friends. It was fun!


Then we went to the gym, and now we're just hanging out at home, waiting for daddy to call...

I'm getting over my first cold. Even though I had a little fever and have a stuffy nose, I'm still happy and playful! 

This week is really sad for me because my dad has to be in California for a conference. I went to the airport to say goodbye to him Wednesday morning. I really miss him.

He calls us a lot to tell us that he misses us too...

HI DADDY! CAN YOU HEAR ME? I MISS YOU! COME HOME SOON! 

We went out to dinner before daddy left. I love going to restaurants with him because he always lets me stand on the table! 

Sometimes in the evenings, when I get really fussy, mom lets me ride around on her shoulders. Sometimes it makes me stop crying. Sometimes it doesn't.

Remember when my Grandfather Lord and Miss Eleanor came to visit me? I didn't have any pictures, but he sent us some. So now I finally have pictures of me and my granddickie! Here I am sitting in his lap:

That's right, I'm FIVE MONTHS OLD!

Yippee! 

On July 3rd, Mom and Dad and I went to Fanfares and Fireworks, the Gainesville fireworks celebration. I got to hang out in the grass and listen to music, and play with daddy...

... and mommy too. But mom and I had to leave before the fireworks because it was way past my bedtime. Maybe I'll see them next year. 

But I did get a flag to wave around...

.... well, sort of. 

To celebrate the Fourth of July I wore my special "future president" t-shirt. A girl can dream, can't she? 

On the 4th, Theresa had us over again for a barbecue to celebrate Joaquim's birthday. I had so much fun playing with him and with Bonnie. 

POOL PARTY!

Last night I went to my first pool party that my friend Noah had. I got a special swimsuit/diaper and put my hat on to protect me from the sun, and Mom and Dad and I went. Here are some pictures of how much fun we had. I went swimming!

We got in slowly at first, since the water was a little cool...

But then we jumped around and swished back and forth and had all kinds of fun. I was kind of cranky because it was evening, but I really did like it!

Then I hung out for a while on the edge of the pool, just chillin'.

And then mom taught me how to dive! (Just kidding.)

Afterwards, I got out and dad dried me off. I want to swim every day! 

We went to dinner at Outback Steakhouse for Grandma and Granddaddy Ward's anniversary. No bloomin' onion for me, but daddy did let me sit on the table!

We had a playgroup at Francesca and Aidan's house this week. We all lay down on the floor and played, it was great!

Here's another adorable outfit my grandma Nancy made me. Yes, I have room to grow!

I have no teeth yet, but I sure like chewing on everything, and drooling all over everything too!
