Bath time!
So, like I said before, my very first tub bath went undocumented. Everyone was too worried about me sitting up, not falling into the water, not getting soap in my eyes, not being dropped and all that, so there were no pictures. But last night I had my second tub bath, and we did get some pictures of that. It looks like I'm miserable, but I really didn't hate it that much. The worst part was at the end, when I was cold and wet, but even that was over quickly. And then I was all clean and fresh smelling and yummy. (Until I pooped, approximately 45 seconds later...)

What a busy week it's been!
I've had quite an exciting week. Last Friday, my umbilical cord fell off, which seemed to cause all kinds of happiness (and a few "eeew"s too) around me. Apparently, that's a big deal. But also, that meant that I could have my first tub bath, which I didn't even hate. I almost liked it! Mom and Dad wanted to take pictures of it, but they were too busy bathing me. Maybe next time.
My grandma Nancy left on Sunday, but I hope she'll come back soon. Then, Daddy went back to work part time starting Monday, leaving me and Mommy home alone. We were fine, we hung out and did a little work, and slept and ate. We had fun.
Tuesday, Mommy took me to the postpartum luncheon at the hospital, where I would have met all kinds of babies and moms if I hadn't slept through the whole thing. Maybe I'll wake up next week and see if I can learn any new tricks.
Yesterday was my longest day yet. We went to see the doctor in the morning, which is always scary. But the good news is that I now weigh 6 lbs 6 oz! The doctor said my weight gain was excellent! Everyone was very excited. I also grew another 3/4" longer! After that, we went to UF to visit where Mommy and Daddy work. There were a lot of people and everyone said I was really cute (of course!), but it was soooo much input that I ended up sleeping through most of that too. We also went out to lunch, but I don't remember that either. As far as I'm concerned, lunch is wherever Mommy is...
Finally, my Aunt Melissa came to visit yesterday. I know we're going to have lots of fun together!
Here are some pictures so you can see how big I'm getting!

My Week 2 update
Hi again. Even though it seems like my days are relatively the same from one to the next, I really am changing a lot. I'm growing each day, and I'm getting a little pudgier too. We had an exciting day yesterday - we went to the orthopaedist so my mom could get the doctor to look at her broken foot. He said it's healing really well so she doesn't have to wear the cast anymore, and she can drive and walk around and everything. I'm looking forward to more walks in the stroller soon!
I've also started staying awake a little more each day, which means I get to play with fun toys and examine all the interesting things in the world around me. And of course, show people my beautiful blue eyes!
For everyone out there who thinks my parents don't put enough pictures of me up, here are some more!

Thank you!
Hello again. There are no more pictures of me just yet, but I wanted to take this chance to thank all the people that have sent wonderful gifts to welcome me to this world. My grandpa Lord sent me a teddy bear for my first Valentine's Day (and my daddy send me a rose, too). My Aunt Melissa sent a beautiful wreath to hang on the door of our house, announcing to everyone that I was born. My friends the Leepers sent me the cutest cuddliest teddy bear, which is bigger than my head! My Grandma Nancy gave us a calendar for my first year, where we can mark down all the amazing things I do each day. And my friend Theresa also gave us a book for that purpose, which is perfect - I know my parents have lots of bragging to do about me! And Grandma Ward and my friends Rori and Bonnie and Joaquim helped get me some adorable clothes that fit me, since I'm a little too small for so many of those newborn clothes. Finally, my friends Tammy and Jay and Reese sent a very exciting looking play gym that I've wanted for a long time... I just haven't stayed awake long enough to enjoy it yet.
This grateful list in no way means my mommy and daddy don't intend to write thank you notes to all these kind and caring people. They will, but it may be a while before they do. After all, they thought they had a little more time to catch up on the thank you notes they still haven't written for my shower at WUFT, to thank all of daddy's coworkers and friends for their great gifts too... I guess that's what happens when I show up early! So in the meantime, while everyone is waiting for their thank you notes, they will know how grateful we all are that they care about us and are thinking about us and helping us celebrate my arrival! THANK YOU!
We'll post some more pictures soon...

In the Winnie the Pooh stories, Piglet talks about how some days are very long, especially for very small animals. Resli has had an exciting few days since we came home last week, especially for a very small Resli.
She has been in her stroller and walked around the apartment complex with her parents and Grandma Nancy.
We had our first visit to the pediatrician yesterday, where we learned that she's gaining weight and is in perfect health.
With each day, she is a little more awake and alert (and sometimes with each night), but she's still - objectively speaking - the cutest, smartest and strongest baby girl ever.
Some more pictures follow...
