Resli Ann Ward was born at 2:14am on February 8th, 2005. She weighed 5lbs 12oz, and measured 19 inches. The name Resli is a family name - it was her maternal great, great, great grandmother's name. This blog is for her friends and family to watch her as she grows and changes, even from far away.

I'm learning to like being on my tummy more, and I'm getting so much stronger! I push myself up and sometimes even bend my knees... Getting ready to crawl? Nope, not yet, but... I do roll over a TON ... and over ... until I hit an obstacle!
Sometimes when I'm at Grandma and Granddaddy Ward's house and I get really fussy, Grandma puts me in a doll baby carriage and wheels me around until I fall asleep. It doesn't seem to bother me that I'm WAY to big to fit in the carriage anymore!
When my Nana was here she read me lots of books. What fun!
Don't my teeth make me look so grown up?

Look how good I'm getting at sitting up by myself! I can only stay for 10 or 15 seconds, but I'm getting better!

Today I met a bunch of my playgroup friends at the mall to have our picture taken. It was quite the scene, let me tell you. But it actually went pretty well. We won't pick up the final pictures for a week or so, but you can see here how chaotic the whole process was!
My nana is here visiting me, isn't that exciting! And even more exciting is that she brought her dog Ollie. We're getting to be good friends. We've spent a lot of time hanging out together. Ollie likes hanging out with me too! Or does she?
It looks like the spammers have found Resli's blog - we've started getting a bunch of junk comments. So to prevent that, I've turned on the 'word verification' for comments. This means that you can still comment anonymously (any non-blogger member can still comment), but you'll just have to go through the extra step of word verification (self explanatory when you go to comment). Sorry for any inconvenience, but I think in the long run this is better than the spam! Thanks, Gillian
I'M BACK! It's been so long, I'm sorry I haven't been blogging lately. But we're finally moved into the new house, so things should get back to normal soon. It was confusing having all the boxes and chaos around, but I stayed happy... and I even helped mom and dad unpack some of those boxes in the living room!
This is the best part of the new house - my yellow room! Aunt Liz came to help me get settled into my room too.
My highchair came with us too! Here I am having some oatmeal in the new dining room with mom.
Here I am in the office with dad. We still have to hang some pictures in here, but it's getting there...
No, I'm not in this picture. But I was in the room when it was taken! This is the desk that Brian built in the ex-closet in the office -- now it's a super cool computer nook. We love it. Thanks, Brian!

Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't blogged in so long. Mom and Dad are going crazy with the new house and trying to get ready to move on the 23rd, and mom's been sick for the last week or so. So nobody takes any pictures of me these days! But here's one of me doing one of my favorite things - sitting on the couch and reading all my books! Check back soon for pictures of me in my new house (:->).

Look what I can do! I can stand up and hold on to the table... And reach for my books... Uh, wait, wait... Mayday! Mayday! Falling!

Check out these teeth!! My Granddickie calls me Jaws, and now you can see why. Munch munch.
Yesterday mom and dad bought a house! Wow! We were all very excited, and they let me sit on the special closing table where they signed all the papers. I was very helpful.

I'm seven months old! Oh, Dad wants me to hold the sign better. Can you see it now? Hey, that's my sign. Whose pseudo-birthday is it anyway?? I LIKE eating my signs!
